However, recent EastEnders episodes has shown a darker side to Kim (played by Tameka Empson) though, which could seal a frightening fate for the BBC soap favourite. Fans tuned into the latest scenes will have witnessed a celebratory Kim enjoying a ride in her car with teenager Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) when she became distracted by some concerning texts on her sister Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) phone. She inevitably crashed the vehicle and later lied to the police about the moments leading up to the potentially fatal crash. With Denzel in a bad way, fans think they’ve worked out Kim’s fate.

On Tuesday’s episode, Kim lied to the police about what had caused the serious accident.

It came as a frantic Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) tried to find out more about his son’s condition.

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) arrived at the hospital with his daughter and Denzel’s girlfriend, Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).

“Is she alright to be here?” Howie asked upon seeing the pair, to which Amy responded: “Where is he?”

“They took him for a scan,” Howie answered, clearly shaken. “They need to check… they want to make sure his brain isn’t – they think he’s bleeding inside,” he managed to explain.

Jack attempted to comfort him because he felt riddled with guilt over the fact he’d just thrown Denzel out of the house for throwing a party behind his back.

He also felt guilty that Kim had been the one to find Denzel and cheer him up.

When he finds out what really happened though, things could change.

Kim explained to the police that someone had jumped out in front of the car, causing her to crash into the Argee Bhajee.

It didn’t take long for fans to wonder what might happen to schoolboy Denzel and the repercussions for Kim.

If the worst happens, she could even be found guilty of death by dangerous driving, meaning an upcoming exit for the character.

Twitter user @hihannahlouise wrote “I’m sorry I love Kim, but she shouldn’t have been looking at a phone while driving. she is the one ultimately responsible for the crash #EastEnders.”
