EastEnders’ Nish Pansear star drops clue identifying Christmas murder victim
EastEnders airs special flashforward scene for Christmas 2023
With six months to go until EastEnders reveal the victim of the upcoming Christmas murder, actor Navin Chowdhry, who plays Nish Panesar, has revealed details of a scene which will confirm their identity.
Viewers already know a male resident of Walford will meet their maker on Christmas Day, as it was teased in a flash forward scene earlier this year.
In the scene, six of the Square’s matriarchs Denise Branning (Diane Parish), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) are standing around the body of a man.
Sharon is in a wedding dress indicating she is getting married in the episode and as she checks the man’s pulse she declares, “he’s dead”.
In that moment viewers saw the cufflinks he was wearing and apparently they are a big clue to the identity of the unfortunate Albert Square resident.
Navin, has teased there will be a huge scene involving the cufflinks in the coming weeks, which will confirm the identity of the corpse.
“I am aware that Nish is the number one contender to die at Christmas,” he told the Mirror.
“I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks,” he teased.
“There’s some stuff we filmed recently about the cufflinks so look out for that and follow the cufflinks.”

He offered no further clue and didn’t say when the scenes will be broadcast, but the cufflinks in question have already featured in the show.
In one moment, which aired after the flashforward, Phil was seen wearing a suit and a cufflink which resembled the one shown in the clip.
Meanwhile show boss Chris Clenshaw has indicated there are actually multiple clues in the flashforward scene.
“I’m not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I will say is there were clues in there,” he said after the broadcast.

“Did you look closely? I urge everyone to re-watch the scene and look at every detail,” he said.
“There’s also a few treats in the scene if you look hard enough.
“What I’d also say is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December,” he teased.
“Circumstances can change, relationships can change, loyalties can change – so what you may suspect now could be somewhat different as we make our way through 2023 and head towards Christmas.”
