Emmerdale Caleb death sealed as fans expose Kim plan after nod to past scene

Emmerdale fans believe Kim Tate (Claire King) will murder Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) after spotting a clue in a recent episode which nodded back to the 90s.

Back in 1997, Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) suffered a heart attack and Kim watched as he collapsed to the floor and begged for help.

Instead of trying to save him, Kim applied powder to her face with the very same makeup brand before walking away and leaving Frank to die.

During Thursday's instalment of the ITV soap (May 11), Kim applied the same brand of makeup to her face and used the same mirror from the 90s episode as Caleb walked into the room.

Viewers spotted the nod to the past and headed straight to social media to speculate what it could mean.

One fan wrote: "By the shot with the mirror, we'd say yes. Foreshadowing. It happened in this ep," alongside an image of Frank dead on the floor, later adding: "That can't be a coincidence, can it?"

Agreeing, another person responded: "Omg so true about the mirror can’t believe i didn’t pick up on that!"

A third viewer penned: "We LOVE tonight's Easter Egg, whether intentional or not! You can just about see it here, but its an homage to the same mirror in this ICONIC scene!" alongside a photo of Kim applying the powder to her face.

Caleb arrived in the Dales on Christmas Day and was recently revealed to be the secret son of Frank.

Hell bent on taking everything from Kim, Caleb concocted an elaborate scheme to leave her bankrupt and take back Home Farm, which he feels he is rightfully owed.

He has also roped his son, Nicky (Lewis Cope) in on the plan and forced him to pursue a relationship with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) in order to get closer to the estate.

Confirming there are still secrets yet to be revealed regarding Caleb and Nicky, Emmerdale's executive producer Jane Hudson previously told Daily Star and other press: "We have revealed who Nicky is, there is still something else to find out but I'm not going to tell you.

"Not all the secrets have been revealed yet."
