Emmerdale fans expose Nicky motive in Jamie Tate link ahead of Gabby proposal

Emmerdale fans suspect Nicky could be working with Jamie Tate in a sinister plot.
The Home Farm nanny, played by Lewis Cope, appears to be squeaky clean on the surface, however fans have been suspicious of the character since he first arrived back in December.
Since looking after the kids living at Home Farm, Nicky has begun a romance with Gabby Thomas and the couple have been sneaking around behind everyone's backs.

During Tuesday's instalment of the ITV soap, Kim Tate told Gabby and Dawn Fletcher that Nicky had reached the end of his probation period and they had to decide whether to keep him on.
While Dawn and Kim seemed more than happy to make Nicky's position permanent, Gabby was more apprehensive to the idea and explained how she believes the nanny needs to use his initiative more.
What the two women didn't know was that Gabby was attempting to throw them off the scent in order to prevent them from discovering her romance with their employee.
After they left the room, Nicky seemed fairly annoyed at Gabby's tactics, suggesting they could have decided to sack him if she had gone any further.
Now, fans believe he could somehow be linked to Jamie, perhaps working with him in a bid to get closer to his son, Thomas, whom he shares with Gabby.
Jamie, played by Alexander Lincoln, was last seen on screen in 2021 after faking his own death in a car crash.
Gabby and Kim later found out the truth about Jamie's survival when Andrea Tate's mother Hazel claimed he had pushed her down the stairs before disappearing again.
Sharing their theories online, one fan suggested: "Could Nicky secretly be working with Jamie to somehow get his hands on Thomas potentially? Lure Gabby into a totally false sense of security, letting her guard down against him & all that, especially after he suddenly proposes?"
"Either Nicky is working with Caleb or Jamie," added a second.
When another viewer speculated a dark side to the character, someone else responded: "Plot twist he has ties to Jamie Tate".
Suspicions surrounding Nicky are only set to rise as he proposes to Gabby next week.
When their romance becomes public, Kim wastes no time in firing her employee.
But wanting to prove his love, Nicky asks Gabby to marry him – and she accepts.
