Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Caleb’s downfall as Nicky hits out at plan to swindle Kim

Emmerdale fans are convinced they’ve rumbled the secret to Caleb Miligan’s downfall as they predict his son Nicky will be the one to turn on him in the end.

As regular viewers will know, in recent weeks Caleb has launched a cunning plan to bring down Kim Tate and steal her fortune after he discovered the role she played in his father, Frank Tate’s death.

Eager to make her suffer for everything she did to his family, Caleb has secretly gone into business with the Home Farm owner with the intention of stealing every penny she has.

On Tuesday’s edition of the ITV soap, Caleb continued to pressure his son into finding information that could help them hack into Kim’s computer, so that they could install some malware and access her bank accounts.

Caleb also revealed more information about his intention to buy Butler’s farm from his sister-in-law Moira, all while never once revealing his true intentions.

Frustrated by the level of thought his dad was putting into the plan, Nicky also began to grow tired of being forced to live a lie, as he strung along fiancée Gabby, despite being gay.

Nicky and Caleb even came to blows on Tuesday, when Nicky urged his dad to get over the loss of Frank Tate, which happened “20 years ago!” as going along with the plan meant he wasn’t able to reveal his true identity as Caleb’s son.

This in turn meant he wasn’t able to meet and forge relationships with the Dingle clan – his family – despite them living just ten minutes away.

Nicky also expressed his concerns about what the plan could mean for any future relationship with the Dingles going forward.

Calling out his dad, Nicky asked Caleb: "Is it really worth all this stress?"

To which he replied: "Don't you start going soft on me."

"Losing out on having Chas and Cain in your life, don't act like you don't care," Nicky then snapped back.

But Caleb was having none of it and argued his siblings would soon forgive him once he offered out "their share" of Kim's fortune.

Given the sudden change of tune and Nicky’s reservations about conning his family, fans are now convinced that Nicky will be the one to rat out his dad in the coming weeks.

“Nicky will cave in. And probably warn Moira of what Caleb is up to,” predicted one fan on social media.

A second agreed, adding: “Nicky talking sense. Caleb sounds like an obsessive idiot.”

Before a third predicted: “ I think Nicky will blab to Kim about Caleb’s plan.”

A fourth fan then echoed: “Well said Nicky, we're sick of Caleb too! All this for somebody he never met.”
