Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Nicky bombshell as fans uncover identity of newcomer

Emmerdale's Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) was surprised when he came face to face with someone from his past – and fans believe they have worked out exactly who he is.

Nicky's true identity was recently exposed when he was revealed to be the son of Caleb Milligan (Will Ash).

While it was also confirmed that Caleb was the son of Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) who has come to the village to take back Home Farm from Kim Tate (Claire King).

In a bid to get his hands on the estate, Caleb forced Nicky into proposing to Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), despite the nanny's reservations.

During Thursday's episode (April 20), Nicky and Gabby were chatting about their wedding when Nicky spotted a familiar face.

With Nicky rattled by his arrival, the newcomer introduced himself as Ally to Gabby.

The young mum excitedly said: "I can’t believe it, what’s the chances of you walking through the door?"

"Mind-blowing, isn’t it!," responded Ally. "If I’d known you were living around here, I’d have called or something. Me and Nicky go way back."

Gabby admitted she's barely met any of her fiancée's friends, while Nicky continued acting shady, clearly bothered by Ally's arrival.

"You wouldn’t believe the things we got up to," Ally said, as Laurel chimed in: "You have to tell us everything!"

Sharing their thoughts on the new arrival online, many fans speculated he could be a former flame of Nicky's.

One viewer simply asked: "Nicky’s gay, isn’t he???? #Emmerdale"

"If that’s Nicky’s ex boyfriend, then my assumption that he was gay was correct," added a second.

Another fan penned: "Is this Gabby and Nicky storyline not legit cos yah, he's clearly gay."

A fourth shared: "If this new guy is Nicky’s ex-boyfriend then there is definitely something in the water in that village!!"

While someone else questioned: "Do we add Nicky on the ever growing list of gay people in the village?"
