NICOLA King is fighting to get justice after she was brutally attacked and mugged.
But it may be harder than she thought as she's considerably torn apart during her attackers' trial in Emmerdale.
Naomi Anderson, played by Karene Peter, is facing justice in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.
The newcomer was reported to the police after Nicola King (portrayed by Nicola Wheeler)
Meanwhile, the Café Main Street co-owner has been trying to overcome the lingering trauma from her attack.
But things will be made more difficult for her next week.

The trial comes to an end with the judge addressing the jury, urging them to assess the evidence presented to them.

Nicola isn't optimistic and returns to Victoria Cottage feeling exhausted and fed up.
Meanwhile, Naomi has to face one of her former friends who was also responsible for Nicola's attack, Saskia.
She's blindsided at the beginning of the trial when Saskia's barrister argues the defendants were no longer friends with Naomi after an altercation over money.
Naomi is made to take the blame as the barrister states that she feels ostracised from the gang, thus deciding to drag them into her mess.
As the trial goes on, Naomi considers the possibility of her going to prison for a crime she didn't commit.

Elsewhere in the Dales, her brother Ethan and father Charles try to encourage her, but she has already resigned herself to the possibility of going to prison.
Nicola King was attacked in a car park by a gang of girls in June, 2022, after spending an evening with her sister Bernice Blackstock and Laurel Thomas.
She was hospitalised but insisted she couldn't remember anything from the assault, embarrassed by who her attackers were.
The mugging left her with considerable mental health issues.

But it wasn't until Naomi settled in to the eponymous village and applied for the job at the café that she saw an opportunity to finally get justice.
