Emmerdale’s Bernice Blackstock (played by Samantha Giles) looks to benefit from others’ misfortune after Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) gives her a business opportunity. Wherever there is an opening for a plan, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) is never too far away and he also gets involved. Official spoilers for the ITV soap confirm the exciting future plans for Bernice.
Bob begins planning a different venture at the beginning of the week in the Yorkshire Dales.
He has a vision of a big party for New Year’s Eve, involving him getting behind the decks to DJ for the locals.
However, Bob’s musical aspirations are mocked when he shares his somewhat out-of-date party anthems.
Elsewhere, Bernice tries to rally some female residents into joining her menopause support group.

Initially, a few people are intrigued but she struggles to drum up enough interested parties.
Eric perks Bernice with news there is a position at the Bed and Breakfast she may want to get involved with.
When the businessman tells her about the opportunity, she gets a cunning idea.
Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) reveals to her daughter Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) she is retiring.
Nicola is shocked at the revelation and there is more upheaval on the horizon too.
Eric is also retiring and this gives Bernice an exciting chance to renovate the B&B.
She shows Eric her grand plans and the outgoing boss gives an ecstatic Bernice the keys to the venue.
Her amazing mood continues as she meets up with Bob to discuss thoughts on what makes a great business.
The pair are full of energy and excitement as they bounce various ideas for the future together.
Bernice’s bubble looks to burst once she informs Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) of her intention to leave the salon.
Mandy insists Bernice works her one-month notice to an angry response from the future B&B manager.
A downhearted Mandy shares the sad reality she may have to consider closing the business down.
Her bad luck continues when she learns Bernice is planning to take Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) and Bob’s business away from the salon.
Mandy confronts Bernice and voices her anger at her conduct concerning Mandy’s livelihood.
The pair clash and Mandy decides on the spot to sack Bernice from the salon, but Bernice is secretly chuffed with the move.
Her plan has come to fruition but what will she do to the B&B?
Will Eric regret his decision to get Bernice involved in his business?
