Emmerdale viewers left distracted by David’s ‘overnight’ hair transformation

Emmerdale viewers were left seriously distracted on Tuesday night as they spotted David Metcalfe's "overnight" hair transformation.

During the latest instalment, soap watchers were quick to spot that David, played by Matthew Wolfenden, debuted a new look compared to Monday's episode.

On Monday's episode, David sported longer locks compared to Tuesday where he debuted an almost buzz cut look.

Taking to Twitter, one person joked: "#Emmerdale not one person mentioned David's haircut . Well, they don't notice murderers under their noses so won't notice a different hair style."

A different soap watcher asked: "#Emmerdale has David had a haircut since last night?"

While another viewer added: "Liking David’s new haircut, he just needs to stop whinging…#emmerdale."

It's been a difficult few weeks on Emmerdale for David after he was dumped by Victoria Sugden and has recently been facing serious money woes.

After all of his ideas for keeping his business afloat flopped, David was left with no choice but to put his shop and house up for sale on Tuesday.

Viewers were also quick to question whether David could be leaving the village if he is selling both his shop and home.

One person said: "Wonder whether David will be leaving the village? #Emmerdale."

It comes as Emmerdale boss Jane Hudson has teased what viewers can expect from the ITV soap in 2023.

It's been a dramatic few weeks in the Dales as part of the 50th anniversary with four shocking character deaths and the destruction of the village due to the storm.
