Escape to the Country fan spots something VERY bleak as couple hunt for detached house | The Sun

A FAN of Escape to the Country pointed out a very bleak fact during a recent episode of the show.

The BBC series, which has ran since 2002, recently followed one couple's house-hunting journey in Dorset.

Jane and Gordon were hoping to move to the south-west county, and were on the hunt for a detached house in the countryside.

The show's presenter Jules Hudson highlighted how stunning the county was, known for it's incredible history, landscape and views.

He also pointed out that a whopping 40 per cent of Dorset land is classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The episode – which was filmed in 2018 – left viewers feeling particularly "nostalgic" for a bleak reason.

At the time of filming – four years ago – that was still £90,000 above the average national figure.

Spouses Gordon and Jane, wanted to move to Dorset for a fresh start.

They said on the show: "We want to have a fresh start, we feel like we've got into a rut.
