Exit for Damon as he is arrested for a shooting in Coronation Street?
Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) puts lives in danger next week in Coronation Street, as his smuggling of drugs through the Bistro sees the arrival of two masked gunmen.
The newcomer made his way to Weatherfield over the festive period after learning Harvey (Will Mellor) had given his money to Nick (Ben Price), which meant he now had shares in the bistro restaurant.
Initially, Damon came across as a bit of a charmer, keen to work with Nick and make the business the best it can be.
But it was all a lie.
We soon learnt that Damon was using the food and drink deliveries to deal drugs.
A few weeks ago, Damon instructed his son, Jacob (Jack James Ryan), to work as a waiter and help with the plan.
When things went wrong, Damon unleashed his evil side and attacked Jacob, which eventually led to him leaving Weatherfield.
One thing he did do before departing was tell Nick the truth about Damon and next week, he finds himself involved in the dark and dangerous world of drugs once more.
After telling Damon that the next batch has been delivered, Nick leaves the restaurant, leaving Ryan (Ryan Prescott) and Sam (Jude Riordan) inside.
When two masked men enter and point a gun at Ryan, they demand he hands over the drugs, leaving him terrified.
As Sam dives under a table, he manages to call Nick, who’s on the cobbles with Leanne (Jane Danson) and Damon.
Just as Sam updates Nick, a gunshot is heard down the line.
The next day, Craig (Colson Smith) tells Leanne that they’ve arrested two men who they suspect were the gunmen.
After a word from Leanne, Nick tells Damon to pick up the drugs or he’ll dispose of them down the toilet.
Having placed the holdall in the boot, Damon climbs into his car, but suddenly police sirens are heard.
Will Damon make his getaway?
Could this be the last we see of him?
