Fantasy drama Fate: The Winx Saga made a comeback for its second outing on Netflix and did not disappoint. As fans of the original Italian series will know, series one was missing main character Flora (played by Paulina Chavez), leaving many subscribers wondering why she wasn’t introduced straight away. Nevertheless, season two marked the start of Flora’s journey as she joined her cousin Terra Harvey’s (Eliot Salt) Alfea College.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Fate: The Winx Saga.
Fate: The Winx Saga follows the lives of fairies Bloom Peters (Abigail Cowen), Musa (Elisha Applebaum), Beatrix (Sadie Soverall), Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen) and Terra who attend the magical boarding school in the Otherworld.
Flora was briefly mentioned by Terra in the first season but fans were confused when she didn’t make an appearance.
Thankfully, this was rectified in the newly released second season as Flora joined her cousin at Alfea.
While Flora was full of confidence when she arrived on campus, it was a different story for actress Chaves.
Opening up to Express.co.uk, Chavez explained: “As Paulina, it was intimidating, coming out of quarantine and everything, I came out more shy and introverted.
“So you never know how other actors are in real life, I’ve heard some horror stories about coming into a new phase in a show.
“I went in with an open mind but also, just be careful, but it was nothing like I expected.
“The cast is just so sweet and so great and really become like a second family to me.”
For a short time, Chavez also ended up living with one of her Winx Saga co-stars.
She continued: “I think it was Elisha [Applebaum] who plays Musa and Sadie [Soverall] who are closer in age, I think them too.
“All of them really, we all bonded. I had a lot of scenes with Eliot Salt who plays my cousin Terra and so I was always working with her.
“She is an amazing scene partner, she’s so talented and I really formed a bond with each and every one of them.
“When I was in London, I extended my stay and ended up staying with Elisha so I think we got a little more closer. They’re just all so great.”

Star opens up on why Flora wasn’t in Fate – The Winx Saga season 1 [CAST]
Flora played a huge part in the season two finale of Fate: The Winx Saga when it came out last month.
In a bid to distract the Scrapers so the rest of the gang could take down Sebastian (Eanna Hardwicke), Flora gave up her powers and acted as bait.
She was left physically and emotionally scarred by the trauma but how will it affect her going forward?
For now, at least, it isn’t clear if subscribers are going to be able to see more of the gang.
Netflix has not yet renewed Fate: The Winx Saga for a third season, following its series two release.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t be back as the streaming service does often take its time before giving the green light to shows.
If The Winx Saga was to return, it most likely wouldn’t be until late next year.
Fate: The Winx Saga is available to watch on Netflix.
