Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) is feeling somewhat smothered by Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) in Coronation Street as he attempts to support her following her early menopause diagnosis.
Adapting to her new life is, understandably, a difficult task for Faye.
Not only is her body changing, but Faye is also coming to terms with the fact she won’t be able to carry another baby anymore – something she was contemplating before she was given the news.
Keen to support her, Craig is being really kind to Faye but as this new video shows, it’s all becoming a bit much.
In a step too far for Craig, he approaches Carla (Alison King) beforehand and kindly asks her to go easy on Faye at work, thinking it will help ease the pressure.
When Faye confronts Craig, it’s abundantly clear she feels the focus of their relationship is just on her early menopause.
Craig, however, doesn’t quite know what he’s done wrong – but can they work through this?
An angry Faye then cruelly comments on Craig’s past battle with OCD at the end of the clip, has she taken things too far?
‘I mean, he’s always tried to do his best to make sure that she’s okay’, Ellie Leach recently told us during a chat about Craig and Faye’s latest relationship challenge.
‘But I think she’s struggling to figure it out on her own. And by him, not putting pressure on her, but just trying to help so much that she feels like she needs space.
‘She needs to figure this out for myself before listening to what Craig thinks is best for her. He’s doing it in the nicest way possible, but I think she’s probably just thinking, “leave me alone!”’.
