On Wednesday’s instalment of Four in a Bed, Channel 4 viewers discovered what Lou and Stu had to offer at their Great Yarmouth beach lodge property. However, with the accommodation being self-catering, fans fumed they should not get scored for the food section by the guests.
As the other couples arrived at the property, they were told the lodges they’d be staying in were priced at £115 a night with a three-night minimum stay.
However, Lou and Stu quickly told their guests the price didn’t include breakfast and they could either use the facilities in their lodge to make food themselves or go to the local café.
Inside the property, the contestants also noticed the lack of toiletries provided as they questioned the justification of the high price if guests would have to buy both food and toiletries themselves.
With each property being judged on a series of categories including how guests found their breakfast, viewers were quick to call out Lou and Stu for not offering breakfast.
Tonguetwisteruk slammed: “#fourinabed If you don’t provide a breakfast you shouldn’t be on the show.”
CaptMagenta commented: “Shouldn’t be marked on the breakfast.”
DavidWa53158736 raged: “#fourinabed when breakfast is offsite there should be no scores.”
MrJay68 added: “So they don’t provide breakfast? automatic NIL points.”
PippyG82 tweeted: “Lovely views but…. self-catering is a big fat no for me!”
With Twitter user LynnHartley7 saying: “Another self-catering place, grrrr That’s why the intro says “4 holiday hosts” instead of B&Bers” hate it.”
During the show, the guests decided to all take a trip to the local café where they discussed the lack of breakfast provided.
Michael commented: “A little bit more could be offered to start you off, a welcome hamper or something like that because there’s not too much on offer when you get there.”

It seemed as though the guests weren’t too discouraged as when it came to scoring one pair gave them an eight.
Although two couples revealed they wouldn’t stay again due to the lack of things provided for the high price of the stay.
When it came to seeing the reviews, Stu and Lou were disheartened to learn two of them wouldn’t want to return.
As Stu called it tragic, Lou added: “That’s sad.”
He continued: “I don’t think some people get self-catering holidays, do they? Why would you say no?”
Lou revealed she was looking forward to getting some answers on results day.
On the next instalment, viewers will be taken to Lincolnshire for the last visit of the week.
A synopsis reads: “The final visit of the week is to the Alice in Wonderland-themed Hatter’s Hotel in Skegness, Lincolnshire.
“Husband-and-wife team Dee and Gary reckon their unique B&B experience will have their guests grinning like Cheshire cats – and the literary décor certainly proves a hit.”
Four in a Bed continues weekdays on Channel 4 from 5pm.
