Gail makes a shocking discovery in Corrie and she's not the only one
Gail Platt (Helen Worth) was extremely disappointed in Wednesday’s (June 7) edition of Coronation Street as she learnt about Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) affair.
She wasn’t the only one to learn of Sarah’s betrayal as her young son, Harry, also saw his mummy kissing Damon (Ciaran Griffiths)!
After overhearing Sarah telling Shona (Julia Goulding) that Adam (Sam Robertson) can’t attend the County game because of work, Damon deliberately turned up to the flat.
He claimed to be looking for Adam, presenting a bottle of wine to say thanks for securing the Bistro’s late licence but when Sarah revealed he wasn’t actually around, Damon said he could keep her company instead.
Sarah and Damon were chatting, flirting, and enjoying each other’s company. That was, until Gail turned up and revealed that she picked Harry up from school as he wasn’t feeling well.

This moment happened just seconds after Sarah and Damon were going to kiss so yes, they were definitely a little flustered.
Sarah spun a few lies to her mum, explaining that she was working from the flat ahead of a meeting, and that Damon had popped by to talk to Adam about the Bistro.
After Gail left, Damon was about to follow but couldn’t resist kissing Sarah again – but neither had spotted Harry in the corridor, and he was shocked!
When Gail returned that afternoon to keep an eye on Harry while Sarah went to work, she continued to grow suspicious about Damon.
She then asked Harry about the drawing he was doing and whether the man kissing Sarah was Adam.
Harry said it was his mummy kissing ‘the other man’, which was enough for Gail to realise what had been going on.
With no choice but to reveal the truth, Sarah explained to Gail that she was enjoying the excitement with Damon as Adam is barely around these days.
After Gail left, Sarah spoke with Harry and asked if he could keep the kiss a secret and pretend it never happened.
Ultimately, asking her son to keep quiet will be the catalyst for Sarah revealing the truth to Adam, as Tina O’Brien explained:
‘She’s [Sarah] just basically about to throw grenade into the marriage, so I think 10 out of 10, she’s off the scale scared. She knows it’s coming, she knows she’s got to sit down and she knows she’s got to tell him but it’s that anticipation and the fact she knows he hasn’t got a clue as well.
‘The guilt, the feeling of disgust at herself and also the realisation that she could potentially have ruined everything are just overwhelming because she does still really want to be with Adam.’
