Good Morning Britains Kate Garraway rushed to hospital after family faced ‘another crisis’

Kate Garraway has shared that was she faced with yet another hospital dash.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, has been back and forth to medical facilities in the past couple of years after husband Derek Draper contracted Covid-19 early on the pandemic, leaving him with ongoing health issues.

Kate had been set to attend the highly anticipated Princess of Wales' carol service alongside her 87 year old dad, but they had to cancel their plans last minute.

She told viewers on Friday, 23 December: "I was lucky enough to have an invite to [the carol service]. I got one last year and it's one of the most amazing things ever."

She went on: "It's just such a lovely atmosphere, and I was going to take my dad, who had been looking forward to it for so long, but unfortunately we ended up in the hospital with another crisis."

Kate failed to further expand on what appeared to be another medical emergency, and if it was involving her husband Derek or her father.

The carol service took place on 15 December, where the likes of Kate, Prince William and a host of other royals were in attendance.

The hospital dash didn't appear to affect Kate's Christmas cheer however, after the star shared a snap of her managing to wrestle a huge tree into the back of her car a few days later.

On Instagram, she documented the struggle of five "exasperated shop workers", four "helpful neighbours", three "frazzled parents" and two "over-excited kids" as the family set up their green yuletide beast and got ready for Christmas.

Next to photos of the different stages, Kate wrote: "So they say it takes a village to raise a child .. but how many does it take to "raise" a Christmas tree. Well in my case (altogether now sing along [musical note emojis]) … "5 exasperated shop workers, 4 helpful neighbours , 3 frazzled parents , 2 over excited kids & NOT a partridge in a pear tree , but a #peugeot308sw with a surprisingly large boot."

"Even my own mother didn't believe I could get a 6 foot tree in but I knew my Percy Peugeot wouldn't let me down!" she added.
