Holly Willoughby ‘lined up to host Strictly Come Dancing’ by BBC bosses after Phillip Schofield scandal | The Sun
HOLLY Willoughby is being "lined up to host Strictly Come Dancing" with BBC bosses planning to "lure" her away from ITV, it has been claimed.
It comes after a tough few months for the This Morning anchor, 42, after her co-star Phillip Schofield was axed.
The shock shake up came after Phillip, 61, admitted his affair with a much younger ITV runner.
Phillip, who was married at the time, branded the relationship "unwise but not illegal" after being axed by the broadcaster.
Holly has since cut ties with her ex BFF but there are suggestions she could scoop iconic BBC show Strictly Come Dancing – currently hosted by Tess Daly, 54, and Claudia Winkleman, 51.
A source told MailOnline of the Glitter Ball plot and said: "Holly is the golden goose. BBC bosses want her and they have been plotting for some time to get her for their big shows.

"They know how popular she is, but it also has to be the right programme.
"Recently there has been talk around the BBC that Strictly would be a way to lure her over.
"There are ideas of how she could slot in – nobody is quite sure about that yet but they think she would be perfect.
"It seems like a big project to get her to do it, and would mean moving things around on the show somehow, but there are some executives at the BBC who want it to happen."

Holly has previously fronted BBC reality series Freeze The Fear with Wim Hof.
The speculation comes after Strictly's ratings plunged to a record low in 2022, in what was the show's 20th series.
Yet work might be far from her mind this weekend as she enjoyed a boozy bender at Glastonbury.
She partied and danced with Princess Eugenie, footie’s Peter Crouch, actor Jamie Dornan and actress Lily James until the early hours of yesterday.
They were seen watching Friday night’s headline act Arctic Monkeys and danced among the crowds during the set.
Holly is due back on This Morning tomorrow.
The Sun has reached out to the BBC for comment.
