Holly Willoughby looks happier than ever as she's seen for the first time since Phillip Schofield’s This Morning sacking | The Sun

HOLLY Willoughby has been seen for the first time since it was announced Phillip Schofield was leaving This Morning.

Neither star have appeared on TV since the dramatic revelation, with a roster of stand-ins taking their place on the show.

However, this afternoon she popped up on the Instagram page of her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon – looking delighted.

Phillip departed the show on Saturday after intense speculation about his future and a feud with Holly.

The star, who will continue to front This Morning without Phillip, was pictured holding a heaving plate of food.

She looked absolutely delighted alongside the dish, a recipe from the ITV's show regular chef, Clodagh McKenna.

Holly said: "It’s simple to make and a complete crowd pleaser whether you’re having it for brunch, lunch or dinner! It may have been the first time I’ve made a Kedgeree but it definitely won’t be the last!"

Clodagh, who was a favourite of Phillip's on the show, was one of a handful of stars to pay a fulsome tribute to him after his axing.

She wrote: "21 years of brightening up our mornings. And I’ve been so lucky to be part of 3 of them.

"I’ll miss the morning hug, the twinkle in your eye that makes me giggle and your empathy. You will be missed."

Phillip was brutally axed from This Morning minutes after coming off air on Thursday last week, denying him the chance of a farewell to viewers.

His exit was confirmed after an insider revealed the row was even putting off guests from appearing with them.

An ITV spokesperson has denied the star was sacked, saying: "Phillip Schofield’s decision to step down from This Morning was (as his statement made clear) a decision agreed between Phillip and ITV."

He will still host the upcoming British Soap Awards which is set to air on ITV on June 6th.

The star posted a statement on Saturday saying: "I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning.

"But recently, This Morning itself has become the story. Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.

"I understand that ITV has decided the current situation can’t go on, and I want to do what I can to protect the show that I love.

Phil added: "So I have agreed to step down from This Morning with immediate effect, in the hope that the show can move forward to a bright future.

"I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me – and I’ll see you all for the Soap Awards next month."
