Hollyoaks John-Paul attacked, Rayne exposed and Luke returns in summer trailer
Hollyoaks have finally dropped their explosive summer trailer.
The three minute advert showing what fans of the Channel 4 soap can expect over the next few weeks opened with a refresh of the titles sequence and a montage of a giddy water-fight.
However, emotions are running high beneath the summer fun and high-jinks, with the Boys of Summer facing turmoil ahead.

As summer arrives in the Hollyoaks village and the school year ends with a teen prom, new headteacher Carter Shepherd (David Ames) arrives to prepare for autumn.
Troubled John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), while in recovery, agrees to attend a Pride event at The Loft with Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) and stands up to homophobic abuse, only to be attacked afterwards.
He confides in Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) and Sally. St Claire (Annie Wallace) but doesn’t report the attack and his abusers remain in the village as a lingering threat.
But newcomer Carter becomes a shoulder to cry on as he seeks "change" in his life but what is his motivation?
Elsewhere, Influencer Rayne Royce’s (Jemma Donovan) disruption continues and threatens to split the 20-somethings house as her posts around Juliet Nnightingale’s funeral shocks best friend Lacey Lloyd (Annabelle Davis) and cause Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) to question their relationship.
She is quick to justify herself and in a bid to gain sympathy sets up Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer).
Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) is onto Raybe but she has a quick-fire solution to keep Juliet's grieving partner away from Romeo when she blocks her from his phone.
Peri and Prince later join forces to find out more, but Rayne is confident that she has Romeo under her control.
Also, the lines are blurred between fantasy and reality for Cindy Cunnigham (Steph Waring) since she stopped taking her bipolar medication as Gary Lucy reprises the role of her on-screen late fiancé Luke Morgan for heartbreaking scenes.
Meanwhile, prom night ends in embarrassment for Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) as secrets catch up with him and Shing-Lin Leong (Izzie Yip) tips a bowl of fruit punch over him with his headline set ruined, what does the future hold for Charlie?
Hollyoaks airs weeknights on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by first-look episodes on E4 at 7pm or watch from midnight on All4
