Hollyoaks Mercedes death teased as Jennifer Metcalfe says anything can happen
Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has teased "anything can happen" as her character Mercedes McQueen finds her life in danger once again.
In upcoming scenes set to air on E4 tonight (Wednesday, September 28), Mercedes has a showdown with her nemesis Silas blissett (Jeff Rowle).
Evil Silas has returned to the soap with the aim of abducting Mercedes son Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) but the McQueen family are ready to thwart the serial killer.

The village villain challenges the McQueens to a game of chess, and the electrified board proves to be fatal.
Jennifer has revealed that she was unsure if the storyline would work but quickly changed her mind.
She explained: "The chessboard was electronic, and I didn’t know if they would be able to pull it off, but it really was amazing how they did it.
"The McQueen family are forced to play the big game of chess, and if you stepped on the wrong space it could kill them as Silas is controlling it on his phone. Anything can happen."
Serial killer Silas has been played by Jeff Rawle on and off since 2010 and Jennifer says she still loves working with the actor 12 years on.
She said: "I love it when Jeff Rawle returns to Hollyoaks – he’s one of my favourite people to work with.
"He’s such a professional and knows his stuff. It’s always quite theatrical when he comes back, so that’s quite different for us to play. It goes from everyday drama to really heightened scenes.
"I was very excited when I knew I was going to be working with Jeff again. I am very excited for the audience to see the stunt."
Hollyoaks spoilers have teased that one member of the McQueen family wakes up in a prison cell as they must explain themselves following a death at the folly.
Fans will have to wait and see if Mercedes and her family manages to survive or will Silas finally get his way and take Bobby away from them?
Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with first look episodes at 7pm on E4
