Horror for Toyah and Carla as they are caught in violent protests in Corrie

Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) once again ignores concerns from Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) and Leanne (Jane Danson) in Coronation Street and decides to take part in another protest, fully aware if she gets herself arrested, it will impact her upcoming court trial following Imran’s (Charlie de Melo) death.

The latest protest is being held because of Nadeem, a businessman who’s started working with Carla (Alison King).

Spider and his mate Griff know that Nadeem is notorious for his unethical working practices and have decided to expose him.

After warning from Roy (David Neilson), Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and Toyah, Carla decides to end the deal with Nadeem and meets with him in Underworld to deliver the news.

Outside, the protest gets underway and Craig (Colson Smith) attempts to disperse the crowd.

As Carla and Nadeem emerge, Griff grabs a bottle and throws it, hitting Craig on the head.

With Griff in handcuffs, Toyah and Carla find themselves caught up in the melee.

The next day, as things quieten down, Carla is unimpressed to see Griff chatting with Toyah and later, she spots him lecturing Peter (Chris Gascoyne) about his conspiracy theory on big pharma companies.

As these storylines start to weave together, something tells us we haven’t seen the last of Griff just yet, but will Carla and Toyah continue to find themselves caught up in his drama?
