How much did Kylie Jenner's private jet cost? | The Sun
KYLIE Jenner has never been afraid of stirring up controversy.
The 24-year-old sparked backlash after she posted a picture on Instagram of her and Travis Scott in between two jets with the caption, "You wanna take mine or yours?"
How much did Kylie Jenner's private jet cost?
The private jet, which is decked out in pink and features a neon sign with Kylie's name over a bar, a master suite, and custom blankets for every seat, cost the star $72.8million.

Why is Kylie Jenner's Instagram post controversial?
The problem isn't with Kylie owning a private jet, per se.
The problem is that Kylie, among other big-name celebrities, often take their jets on super short flights that could have been driven.
We're talking about three-minute flights to 25-minute hauls.
That's how short some of Kylie's flights have been.

This leaves an enormous impact on the environment.
According to The Guardian, "The frequent use of aviation is the domain of the world’s wealthy, with just 1% of the global population responsible for half of the emissions associated with flying."
How do we know about these super short flights, anyway?
We know about it all thanks to Jack Sweeney, a University of Central Florida student who built the Twitter account Celebrity Jets.
It's an automated account that tweets celebrity flight maps from data from a company that tracks aircraft transponders.
It went viral when Sweeney's bot tweeted a July 12 flight log for Kylie's three-minute flight from Camarillo, California to Van Nuys, California.
How did social media react to Kylie's post about the flight?
Some users joked about it, while others went in on Kylie.
Some people managed to do both.
Twitter account @AngelaPolIy tweeted "Wow. And here I am washing out cans to be recycled."
Another account, @Ethanol0321 tweeted "Meanwhile I'm drinking my coffee through a mushy cardboard tube to lessen pollution but you have these rich elitist clowns taking 3 minute private jet rides."
Brad Williams, @funnybrad, tweeted "*Jeff Foxworthy Voice* If microwaving a hot pocket takes longer than your private jet flights, you might be an entitled a**hole"
She also had plenty of people in her corner defending her right to use her money as she pleases.
Twitter user @Laurakbarr tweeted "what an absolutely incredible flex. just amazing".

Daphne Hawthorne, @HawthorneLass tweeted "The home base for that aircraft is Burbank Airport. Camarillo airport has several aircraft repair and maintenance companies located there.
"This was merely a trip to the garage to make sure the aircraft was in good shape. Nothing to get bent out of shape about."
