Im A Celeb fans praise Babatúndé as he overcomes fears in Horrifying Heights challenge
I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans shared their impressed reactions to Babatúndé Aléshé facing his fear of heights in the latest Bushtucker Trial on Tuesday’s episode.
After learning he’d be facing the Horrifying Heights trial as voted for by the public, Babatúndé, 36, admitted in the Bush Telegraph: “The more I think about it the more I’m actually getting vexed. You guys, why did you pick me?”
He eventually convinced himself to go ahead with the task, as he said: “I hope I do better than last time honestly. I hope that I can overcome this, I honestly do.”
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec, Babatúndé joked of why the public picked him: “Because they’re evil. I clearly proved to them that I don’t like heights.”
He looked nervous as the co-hosts explained that he would be raised 100ft in the air and have to collect stars for meals in camp — what made matters even more difficult, is that Babatúndé had to do the Trial as it began pouring with rain.
“This rain ain’t helping… just my luck,” Babatúndé joked.
He then said to himself: “Come on bro, you can do this”, as Ant encouraged: “Come on, I believe in you.”
The comedian bravely stepped up to the task, despite the bad weather, as he climbed the terrifying heights, and successfully collected all nine stars before jumping off the ledge at the end.
Fans praised Babatúndé for facing his fears and smashing the Trial, and took to Twitter to give their reactions afterwards.
One person wrote: “Babatúndé is an absolute legend so so proud of him tonight!! #ImACeleb”.
A second said: :”Well done Babatúndé you should be absolutely proud of yourself for smashing that Trial”.
“Fair play Babatúndé. Beat those fears and you won’t be doing another one like that. Smashed,” a third commented.
A fourth tweeted: “Babatúndé has properly redeemed himself, i feel like a proud dad”, as someone else said: “I WANT TO CRY IM SO PROUD OF BABATÚNDÉ”.
Another added: "I can’t lie, I’ve got tears in my eyes! Babatúndé did the damn thing!!"
After completing the Trial, Babatúndé told the hosts: “I kept saying to myself, ‘You are crazy, how am I doing this right now?’ That’s all I kept thinking, ‘How am I doing this?’
The camper admitted: “I’m proud of myself”, and host Ant added: “I’m proud of you.”
