Comedian and Gogglebox star Babatunde Aleshe became the sixth contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Just days away from the final on Sunday, Babatunde missed out on the chance to take part in the Cyclone challenge and the chance of being King of the Jungle. However, fans were left fuming and claimed the show was “fixed” after his exit.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly walked into the camp and revealed that Babatunde and Seann Walsh were in the bottom two.

It was revealed that Babatunde was being eliminated and left Owen Warner with his head in his hands at the news.

He soon made his way out of the camp and up to the studio where he joined Ant and Dec for his post-experience interview.

Touching on his experience of the show, he told the duo: “I’m blessed man. Don’t get it twisted I loved it in there, but I needed my freedom.

“It’s crazy to see it. Living in it is a whole different experience, like before when I used to watch this show, I used to always think ‘These guys are just playing, it’s all good in there’.

“And then spending two and a bit weeks in there it’s hardcore and it is intense.”

When asked who he would like to win the series and be crowned the next King or Queen of the jungle, Babatunde revealed: “Owen.

“He is brave, hungry, but he is a brave soul and he is just, he is a good good friend, he is a good lad.

“I can say so much about him, I can’t put it into words. He has been the closest friend.

Fans were outraged when Babatunde’s name was announced and took to their Twitter to complain.

@Sianeybrook fumed: “This has got to be fixed!!!! No way should Babba be going #ImACeleb.”

Louise Hilsey agreed: “I thought this from when Scarlette was voted out! There has to be a fix somewhere in there.”

@hollyjenions exclaimed: “NO WHAT THE HELL WHO ALLOWED THIS #ImACeleb.”

@danthegooner46 expressed: “EXCUSE ME? BABATUNDE. ROBBED #ImACeleb.”

@amyfudgef1 said: “Interesting… didn’t expect it to be baba #ImACeleb.”

@neb9494 added: “Would have seen any of them go but Babatunde #ImACeleb.” (sic)

Tonight, Babatunde and Seann Walsh touched on their careers in comedy, with the Gogglebox star admitting he had a nine-to-five job a month before his big break.

He explained: “I stopped because I had a mental block. I can’t come up with new stuff. I just can’t come up with new jokes, it’s just not happening for me. I lost the love.

“I made the smart choice, left acting and I was just working, normal 9 to 5. Then a month later, everything changed. Everything.

“Mo [Gilligan] invited me to do a podcast with him and then he was like, ‘Oh, do you want to come on tour with me?’ and then from there it just went crazy.

“From an office job to 10 nights at the Apollo to the 02 Arena, to here. To the jungle. I’m so grateful for this opportunity.”
