On Tuesday’s instalment of This Morning, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to Welsh star Luke Evans. The actor and singer appeared on the ITV show to discuss his new album A Song For You. However, when he performed one of the songs live at the end of the interview, viewers weren’t impressed.
After the success of his first album in 2019, Luke Evans has recently released his second titled A Song For You.
With artists such as Charlotte Church and Nicole Kidman featuring on the 14-track piece, the 43-year-old had created his own renditions of songs such as You Raise Me Up, Everybody Hurts and Last Christmas.
Giving people a glimpse at what they can expect, Luke performed the Simon & Garfunkel song Bridge Over Troubled Water during Tuesday’s episode of This Morning.
Although hosts Phillip and Holly were impressed with his performance, viewers quickly took to Twitter to slam the singer.
SallyPrice4 said: “OMG this is painful (sorry!)”
Martin 909000 commented: “Luke Evans murdering a Simon and Garfunkel classic.”
ClaireMbear added: “Luke ruining this song.”
“Sounds like p*ssed-up karaoke to me,” said Twitter user SmokeyToes76.
