Jai accidentally stumbles upon a life-changing family secret in latest Emmerdale spoilers

Jai Sharma's (Chris Bisson) life is turned upside down in Emmerdale when he uncovers a family secret that leaves him reeling.

The week starts off surprisingly well for Jai when a holiday booking blunder gives Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) an idea. After finding out Jai has booked the honeymoon suite instead of an apartment for the whole family, Laurel proposes to Jai who delightfully accepts.

Later on, Jai realises he needs to find his divorce certificate so heads home to look through the legal documents.

Searching the house he dislodges the contents of an old box and discovers an official document, and after reading the contents, Jai is left reeling.

The following day, Jai is still upset about his discovery and loses his temper at work. Laurel worries it might be Jai’s addiction re-surfacing and encourages Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Pate) to talk to him.

But when Rishi arrives, Jai’s infuriated and reveals he knows the secret leaving Rishi scrambling to cover his deceit. Jai is even more angry to learn that Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) has known the secret since her marriage to Rishi.

With an engagement party planned, Jai tells Rishi not to come. But Archie Breckle (Kai Assi) has other plans and heads out to find his grandad, but will Rishi’s arrival help or make things worse?

Also, Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) gets a positive response from her newest video and is eager to please her fans. Dan Spencer's (Liam Fox) not pleased that she’s been missing college, but Amelia stands her ground of making money through her social media.

Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) and Amelia clash when he discovers what her ‘fans’ have been asking of her online and tells Dan who confiscates Amelia’s laptop and phone.

Later a man arrives at the salon claiming to be a customer, but watches Amelia with interest. Soon he tells her that he’s Lloyd, the top subscriber to her page. Lloyd demands one on one time with a frightened Amelia and traps her inside, but luckily Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) returns just in time.

Matters get worse when Lloyd writes to Amelia and gets hold of her phone number, and Dan’s determined to get the police involved, but will that deter him?

Two affairs threaten to be outed when Victoria Sugden (Isobel Hodgins) picks up on the banter between Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles). Victoria confronts Bob about the chemistry between him and Bernice, and he spins a lie saying that Bernice is in love with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).

Victoria goes to see Liam and tell him the news, but finds him dishevelled and spots Wendy Posner's (Susan Cookson) handbag on the sofa. With it all becoming clear, Victoria tells Wendy she knows what’s going on.

Wendy implores her to keep it a secret, but can Wendy put a stop to the affair? And will Victoria keep quiet about what she knows?
