Loose Women: Katie Price reveals she jokes about mum’s illness

Model and entrepreneur Katie Price has revealed that she won’t be returning to Loose Women having been a regular panellist between 2015 and 2018.

The 45-year-old addressed the issue during a TikTok live when a fan asked her if she would be back on the show.

“No, I’m not doing Loose Women. Been there done that,” she said.

Katie’s time on the show was also a time of great personal upheaval for the mum of five and she has previously slammed the show for their treatment of her when she was in a “bad mental place”.

Reflecting on her state of mind while doing the show in 2020 she told the podcast Changes With Annie Macmanus: “I was doing Loose Women for two years.

“When I look back at that it makes me feel sick,” she admitted. “Because those two years were bad. Bad, bad, mentally. Bad bad bad.

“But I still went out there and put on a brave face. I look at it and think, ‘Oh my god,’ she continued.

“I look at my eyes on it and think I look dead in my eyes. Because all the drama came out.”

“I feel like saying to them: ‘You had me on your show when I was at my illest. But now I am fresh you wouldn’t offer me that back again.’

“I am not saying they wouldn’t [ever], but they wouldn’t at the minute.

“And I feel like saying, ‘This is me now. You’ll get the best out of me now.

“You had me at my worst. You had me when mentally I was really going through it.’

“Which is weird because some people wouldn’t have you on the show like: ‘No you are not well enough.’

“In fact, I wasn’t well. I wasn’t well but I was still able to perform like a seal.”

During her time on the show Katie learnt that her beloved mum Amy is terminally ill with a lung disease.

She was also struggling wither son Harvey’s ongoing health problems.

Alongside that she went through a very bitter break up with third husband Kieran Hayler and she was struggling with money despite amassing a £45m fortune throughout her career.
