Katie Price makes major change to her Mucky Mansion – but star is warned she's asking for trouble | The Sun

KATIE Price has revealed a major change to her once-derelict Mucky Mansion.

The former glamour model began renovating the West Sussex home last year as part of her Channel 4 show Katie Price's Mucky Mansion.

Katie, 44, transformed the kitchen/dining area, daughter Princess' bedroom and she even let her mum Amy, 71, and sister Sophie, 33, decorate one room downstairs.

The second series is due to hit our screens tomorrow and Katie will tackle other rooms in the house.

Ahead of the brand new series, Katie recently opened up about one part of the transformation that a lot of people questioned.

Speaking to The Mirror, Katie said: “It’s all my ideas and my taste. I’ve had white carpet everywhere.

"Everyone said, ‘Why have you got white carpet when you’ve got kids and dogs?’

"But I want to keep this house nice and pristine.

"I think you can see how bonkers my brain really is with some of the rooms.”

Katie bought the huge property for £1.3m in 2014.

The star explained that when she hit rock bottom she didn't want to stay in her mansion.

Katie explained: "I found it hard to come to the house. I had bad memories of it all.

“I was introduced to someone who wanted to turn it into a wedding venue, but it turned out to be a hoax and he ended up fly-tipping all of my land and made my house derelict inside.

“And then it got burgled and someone turned the shower on, so it leaked and my ceiling collapsed. It looked like a building site, so that’s where it got the name Mucky Mansion.”

But three years ago the mum-of-five decided to take matters into her own hands and make it her dream home.

“I wanted to bring love back into the house and that’s what I’ve done.

"The past is the past and the house has got a different feel to it now.

"There is no bad feeling here any more. It really does feel like a home," Katie explained.
