Katie Price’s gobsmacking spending from £180k pink Ferrari to weekly £1k on food

Katie Price is joining Keith Lemon for his new ITV series Shopping With Keith Lemon, which sees the Celebrity Juice host chatting with a number of famous faces as he uncovers their shopping habits.

Former glamour model Katie once had a hugely successful career and is believed to have racked up a massive £45million fortune during her heyday.

But her expensive shopping habits have been largely to blame for the huge financial problems that she's struggled with in recent years.

Katie was declared bankrupt in 2019 after failing to pay off her debts of £3.2million, and in 2020 the reality star submitted a payment plan in the form of an Individual Voluntary Agreement where she agreed to pay back £12,000 a month to creditors.

However, the bankruptcy case is still ongoing and Price was due to appear in court in June for a hearing about her progress on the repayments, after the court heard during a February hearing that she had not been "engaging fully".

But the latest hearing has now been pushed back to next year.

As Keith Lemon takes her on a shopping trip, here's the expensive shopping habits that Katie Price has previously enjoyed.

Katie Price's £10k horse

Katie's episode of Shopping With Keith Lemon sees the pair browsing for horse stuff together, something that Katie loves to splash cash on.

The Sun reported that spending money on her horses was one of the ways that Katie managed to blow her £45million fortune before becoming bankrupt in 2019.

A source told them: “At one point she was knocking out autographs for £7 a pop. She’d sit there with a pile of books at home, scribbling away, then blow all the money she made on a new blanket for one of her horses.”

Katie has owned many horses but was forced to sell up some of her prized ponies when she started to struggle for money.

However, the reality star has now returned to her old ways, with The Sun also revealing that she spent £10,000 on a new dressage horse last year.

A source said: "When it comes to horses, money is no object to Katie – it's a worthwhile investment in her eyes."

In an interview for Your Horse magazine, Katie also revealed that she had been looking at a pony for her daughter Bunny, too.

Katie Price's £1,000 weekly food shop

Despite being declared bankrupt, Katie revealed in 2019 that she spends an eye-watering amount on her weekly food shop.

In the confession made during an episode of her reality series, Katie Price: My Crazy Life, the former glamour model revealed that she can spend up to £1,000 for just a week's worth of supermarket shopping.

She said: "Can I learn to live within my means? When I do a full shop, I spend £800-1,000 a week."

Viewers were gobsmacked by the figure, questioning how the reality star could possibly be spending that much.

Katie is a mum of five but she doesn't have many mouths to feed at home as eldest son Harvey lives at a residential college while her other children spend most of their time living with their dads, Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler.

But it seems that a big chunk of her pricey supermarket bill is made up of food for her dog, as she was seen to be buying 10 whole chickens and an entire tray of lamb for her German Shepherd during the episode, explaining that the dog is fed two whole chickens a day.

Katie Price's lavish car collection

Katie has been banned from driving six times and is currently serving a two-year driving ban, but she hasn't let this stop her love for lavish cars and has been known to splash some serious cash on them.

Earlier this year, Katie revealed that she was having a custom-made car designed by Lisa Marie Brown, who owned the first pink Maserati and Ferrari in the UK.

It was reported shortly after that Katie had spent a massive £179,000 on her very own custom pink Ferrari.

A source told The Sun: "Katie's getting a pink Ferrari – it's worth £179k and she sees it as a gift to herself after everything she's been through. She can't wait to get her driving licence back."

They added: "Katie's planning to pay for the car in instalments now she's back to earning money again after the bankruptcy."

It's not the first time that Katie has spent some serious money on a set of pink wheels. Her previous car, a pink Range Rover, is reported to have cost a whopping £140,000.

The car was repossessed in 2019 during her bankruptcy battle and last month was listed for sale on Auto Trader for £10,000.

And it seems that her expensive pink car collection isn't ending there: in April, Katie revealed to her Instagram fans that she was having a pink Bentley designed.

Sharing pictures of the custom pink interior, Katie said: “It may take a long time to design but I have time, dreams do come true.”

Last December, Katie was handed a two-year driving ban as well as a 16-week suspended prison sentence, 100 hours of unpaid community work and 20 sessions of rehabilitation after she flipped her BMW car on a country road while driving under the influence, without insurance and while under a driving ban.

It's not just material objects that Katie likes to splash out on, the former glamour model is also known to spend massive amounts of money on her extensive beauty regime, which includes hair, makeup, facials and an array of cosmetic procedures.

Katie has had a whopping 13 boob jobs as well as several facelifts, a Brazilian bum lift, full set of veneers, liposuction, Botox injections and an eye and brow lift.

Breaking down the many surgical and non-surgical procedures that Katie has undergone over the years, Dr Tijion Esho, a resident skin doctor for BBC Morning Live and founder of ESHO skincare, revealed to the Mirror that Katie has spent well over £100,000 on cosmetic work over the last 25 years.
