Strictly Come Dancing star Kaye Adams admitted she’s worried her partner Kai Widdrington could drop her headfirst live on TV when they perform on Saturday night. Kaye was joined by her professional partner on Loose Women and the panellists used the opportunity to grill the pair on their progress.
Kai joined the Loose Women panel for the first time since the Strictly launch show and Nadia Sawalha, Gloria Hunniford and Carol McGiffin quizzed the duo on their rehearsals.
The pair will be dancing the Charleston dance and Nadia asked: “What are the risk factors of the Charleston?”
Kaye replied: “Falling on my head,” before Kai interjected: “There’s a lot more steps than there are in the Tango, obviously the trust element with the lifts too.
“It’s a lot of fast feet, but you can’t just be thinking about the feet, your arms need to do the right thing.”

The celebrity hopeful added: “When you first go into Strictly you think all about the steps, ‘How will I be able to remember the steps?'”
“Then you build on all these layers of your hands like this not that, your face has got to be like this.”
She then joked: “When you’re being whirled around, your facial expression naturally is like, ‘Woah!'”
Ahead of the new routine, Nadia also shared some insight into one cheeky move: “I heard there is a bum slap?”
Kaye excitedly replied: “I get to slap his bum, he was a very naughty boy there!”
Kaye also checked in with the Loose Women panellists on Monday too and lifted the lid on how she was honing her dance moves.
Joining her colleagues via video link, she explained: “If you’ve never, ever danced before, and I have never ever danced before, it is trying to make your body respond to these messages from your brain that it’s just not used to.
“I’ve never been sending these messages, you know, I can talk but I’ve never been able to actually coordinate movement particularly.
“I mean, I was famous in my aerobics class for grape-vining in the opposite direction from everyone else!”
Kaye continued: “So actually having to concentrate on putting your heel down first rather than your toe, the counts, the position of your neck, doing all of that..”
After dancing the Tango last week, Kaye and Kai ended the huge launch show in 13th place ahead of fellow celebrities Matt Goss and Tony Adams.
Apart from the concern of being dropped on her head, Kaye has been seeing the funny side of the long hours of training.
The broadcaster posted a snap of them in the middle of an energetic move to her 145,000 Instagram followers with the caption: “@nadiasawalha asked me how the training is going. I said ‘my tena-lady runneth over’.”
She then apologised to her pro partner Kai: “Poor guy is so young he isn’t got a clue what I’m on about!” (sic)
Fans of Kaye and Kai will not enjoy the sight of the leaderboard for whom bookmakers believe will take home the Glitterball Trophy this year.
Will Mellor is currently leading the charge with Ladbrokes after his incredible Jive with partner Nancy Xu.
He is now the outright favourite, with Kaye rated a 66/1 outside chance of being crowned Strictly champion.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One on Saturday at 6.30pm.
