Keeble has a job for Phil in EastEnders – who is he bringing down for her?

DI Keeble (Alison Newman) is hiding a secret from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in EastEnders.

Keeping an eye on Phil as a police informant, Keeble uses his situation to her advantage next week – but what is she up to?

Prior to these scenes, Phil contacts Dodge, keen to know more about Keeble’s past.

As they meet up, Phil gets what he needs and then tells Dodge to get out of the country.

Once Keeble figures out what’s going on, she confronts Phil and hands him a photo of someone.

Keeble tells Phil that if he doesn’t provide her with information on the person in the photograph, he’ll return to prison.

But who is it?

Could this have anything to do with the upcoming episode set in the late 70s that focuses on life as a Mitchell?

We already know pressure from Keeble will be the hook that transports Phil back in time, but is it because he is struggling to meet this demand?

Chris Clenshaw, EastEnders’ Executive Producer, said: ‘We’re delighted to be welcoming an incredible cast of actors to set for this special flashback episode, including the luminous Jaime Winstone as a young Peggy Mitchell.

‘Focused on the Mitchell family, audiences will embark on a rollercoaster journey to the East End of London in 1979 where they’ll delve into the family’s past, seeing much-loved and iconic characters, as well as meeting characters from the show’s history that have never been seen on screen before.

‘There are twists, turns and secrets revealed – after all, trouble is never too far away where The Mitchells are concerned!’
