Ken Bruce takes a swipe at BBC on first day at his new job on Greatest Hits show | The Sun
KEN Bruce appeared to take a swipe at the BBC on the first day at his new job on Greatest Hits.
The radio star, 72, announced he was to quit the station after 31 years on air back in January, much to the dismay of his colleagues.
He announced he would be departing early at the time, as the BBC said they wanted him off air a month earlier.
Radio broadcaster Simon Mayo slammed the corporation over Ken’s exit, but Ken hasn’t spoken out about the Beeb.
During a segment on at the start of his Greatest Hits show today he said: “If you haven’t got anything more to say then keep quiet. It’s always been my maxim.
“I do my best to abide by it.”

From 10.30am today Ken can be heard on the airwaves of his new station Greatest Hits Radio.
His popular quiz Popmaster will air at the same time from 10.30am to 10.50am.
He hopes listeners will follow him over from the BBC to the rival channel after he was replaced by Vernon Kay.
