Killer Ravi to be exposed as Suki's son in shock EastEnders twist?

EastEnders newcomer Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is seemingly not who we think he is, as the latest episode of the BBC One serial drama hinted that he’s not actually Ranveer’s (Anil Goutam) son.

The revelation came amid a heated showdown with Ranveer, who Ravi had thought to be dead.

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), as viewers know, bashed the businessman over the head with a clock at the conclusion of the previous episode of the soap, after he became violent and held her down against her will.

Ravi walked in on the scene, stunned to find his dad ‘dead’, but upon discovering that Ranveer had been abusive and forceful, he decided to protect Suki, agreeing to cover up the crime on her behalf.

Suki made a swift exit, and thus Ravi got to work, but a surprise twist was in store for the viewers – and Ravi, for that matter – as Ranveer regained consciousness.

The sleazy villain, however, caught sight of his son in rubber gloves and with a cleaning kit in possession, and realised that he was attempting to help Suki cover up the crime.

As a result, he became verbally and physically abusive, grabbing hold of Ravi and telling him he’s ‘finished’.

‘Dad!’, pleaded Ravi, which ultimately prompted Ranveer to make quite the revelation.

‘Don’t you dare call me [dad]!,’ he yelled. ‘I was never your dad and you know it!’

Ravi, infuriated by such a statement, lashed out, killing Ranveer dead. But while that was majorly shocking and all of that, the bigger question here is: is Ranveer telling the truth? Is he not actually Ravi’s dad?

If so, this begs the question of just who are Ravi’s parents? Could he perhaps be a secret child of Suki’s?

It would certainly make sense, given how protective he’s been towards her – both here and in previous instances, such as calling Kheerat (Jaz Deol) out for his treatment of her.

Is there going to be another bombshell to explode in the Panesar household?

EastEnders continues Thursday August 11 at 7:30pm on BBC One, or stream the next episode right now on BBC iPlayer.
