Laurence kills Sean in Coronation Street showdown over murder secret?

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) has long suspected that there’s something not quite right about Sean (Antony Cotton)’s boyfriend Laurence (Robert Shaw Cameron) in Coronation Street.

When he heard about the death of Laurence’s wife Lindsey he was even more intrigued – could Laurence have had something to do with her death?

Well, that question raises its head again in upcoming episodes and it seems that the answer could well be yes.

Todd pulls up in a taxi and the driver spots Laurence and Sean in the street – and warns Todd and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) that Sean needs to watch his back. Mystified, Todd tells Sean what the driver said and shows Laurence a picture of him from his phone’s taxi app. Laurence says he’s never seen the man before.

He’s lying, though, as sleuthing Eileen soon discovers when she looks online and finds a picture of Lawrence, his wife – and Mitch the taxi driver. Even faced with this evidence that Laurence has lied, Sean insists everything’s fine and he’s going off on a mini-break that Laurence has booked.

Eileen and Todd are worried even if Sean isn’t and they track Mitch down and ask him what he meant about Sean watching his back. Mitch tells them that he and Laurence were having an affair, and when Lindsay died after falling down a mountain Mitch strongly suspected that Laurence pushed her.

And guess where Laurence is taking Sean for the mini break? Mountains. In a region where there won’t be a phone signal.

Is Laurence trying to lure Sean to his death?
