Lorraine Kelly on Phillip and Holly feud as she talks This Morning replacement
This Morning: Phil tries to make Holly laugh
Lorraine said it was “business as usual” as she addressed Phillip and Holly’s first day presenting together.
It comes after Phillip revealed over the past few weeks, things haven’t been easy between him and Holly, who he’s fronted the show alongside for over a decade.
Despite the alleged fall-out, the duo continued their hosting duties as they appeared all smiles this week while presenting the show.
However, there’s been speculation that the rift will see Phillip or Holly leave for good after viewers highlighted the tension between them.
Speaking about what the future of This Morning could hold, their ITV colleague Lorraine Kelly has touched on the feud.
Lorraine touched on their return to work on Monday, following the reports of their rift escalating over the weekend.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “Do you know what they were back today and it was business as usual and everyone is just getting on with it.
“I would be sad if they left the show but I don’t think that is ever likely to happen and I think they’re just getting on with it.”
Rumours of an argument between the duo were heightened when eagle-eyed fans spotted that Holly had removed a tribute to Phillip in her Twitter bio.

However, the 42-year-old is yet to address the speculation, despite Phillip recently speaking about their fractured relationship
Touching on the rift on GB News, presenter Patrick Christys spoke to media commentator Nigel Pauley, who believes the end is in sight for Phillip.
He said: “They (ITV) are ruthless, once the skids are under you in television and in ITV, as well as the fans at their cost, they pull the plug.
“It seems to be that sadly, one of them is beyond their sell-by-date now and it fears that Schofield is beyond his sell-by-date.”
When asked whether or not he believes ITV are starting to try and phase Phillip out, Nigel confessed he thinks they already have been.
He said: “I think we’ll find that they’ll try and dampen it down to get through the summer.
“The summer break will be key, I don’t think they’ll be back together in September.”
This Morning continues weekdays on ITV from 10am.
