Louise furious with desperate mum Lisa for snatching Peggy in EastEnders

Lisa Fowler (lucy Benjamin) has spun herself a web of lies since returning to Walford, and, in true EastEnders fashion, they have finally come back to bite her.

As soon as she stepped foot back on Albert Square it became abundantly clear that she was back for one reason, and one reason only: Revenge.

Having developed a gambling addiction during her time away, it seemed like a no brainer for Lisa to target Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) bank account, giving her the opportunity to fund her addiction and bleed him dry in one fell swoop.

She soon set about blackmailing him, telling him that he would have to pay if he wanted to see his daughter again.

In order to raise the money to pay Lisa off, Keanu raided Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) safe – a dangerous move for anyone to make.

Horrified that Phil may set out to hurt Keanu if he found out the truth through a third party, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) revealed all, and forced Phil to hear Keanu out.

As the pair discussed Lisa’s reasons for blackmailing Keanu, they started to notice that things weren’t quite adding up.

With Lisa having been arrested after Phil suspected her of stealing his money, she arrived back on the Square and handed Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) Phil’s stolen cash.

Heading over to collect Peggy, she was confronted with a furious Phil, Keanu, Sharon and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), who had some unfortunate news for her.

Suspecting that she wasn’t quite telling the truth about the extent of Louise’s money troubles, which she had insisted the money was for, Phil phoned Louise himself, and revealed the outcome of their conversation to a cornered Lisa.

He explained how she had just got home from a relaxing spa break with her aunty Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf), and was furious to find that Lisa had taken Peggy out of the country without talking to her about it.

When Phil insisted that she hand over his stolen money, she revealed that she had left it with the police, though this was soon revealed to be a lie too.

Reiss arrived at the house with what was left of the cash, claiming that he wanted no part in their family drama.

Raging that he had been lied to once again, Phil demanded that Lisa leave, stating that he would be keeping Peggy with him.

Sensing that she had been defeated, Lisa left with her tail between her legs.

Will she be able to get Peggy back, or are Phil and Keanu set to put up a fight?
