Love Island bombshell claims cut scene shows Gemmas secret chat with Billy
Recently jilted Love Island bombshell Samuel Agbiji has claimed that producers cut a scene from Casa Amor that showed Gemma Owen secretly chatting to newcomer Billy Brown.
The 19 year old daughter of Michael Owen has been coupled up with Luca Bish for most of her time in the villa, with the couple hotly tipped to be one of the favourites to win.
However Samuel has revealed that Gemma may not be quite so devoted to Luca, as he recalled a conversation she had with Billy during her time in Casa Amor.
During a recent appearance on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, Samuel was asked whether Billy and Gemma had known each other prior to appearing on the show.
“Definitely” he told host, Arielle Free before continuing: "What is funny as well, when we first came into the Casa Amor villa, Billy told us later two days in, and I think he misread it, but she walked up to him and said 'you know you can pull me for a chat if you want to.'
"He whispered that to us. But that didn't air.”
Samuel then went on to explain how things could’ve gone very differently in the villa, after he had witnessed a different kind of chemistry between Gemma and Billy, to that of Gemma and Luca.
He said: ”It's crazy because when you watch them interacting with each other, Billy manages to bring out a different side to Gemma that we haven't seen.”
Arielle agreed as she too had noticed the behaviour: "I think we've seen that because she is quite giggly around him.
"Even the other night when she was like to Billy, 'get off me that will me make Luca mad.' That's her putting down her man and giving (Billy) an up.”
While viewers at home might have seen a different energy between the two pairings, Gemma and Luca were still going strong on Thursday night as they emotionally professed their love to each other after enjoying a romantic date.
The romantic exchange was started by fishmonger Luca, 23, who uttered the words "I love you" but rather than get the response he wanted, Gemma responded: "That’s actually mad to hear that."
Luca persevered and nudged his partner to try another answer which resulted in her finally saying: "I love you too.”
However, despite the admission, fans at home weren’t convinced it was genuine, as Gemma had been pushed into saying it, rather than admitting it in her own time.
One viewer said: "As a body language expert who is not an expert Luca and Gemma don’t like each other and Gemma did not mean that pls."
A second said: "Gemma does not love this man."
Another fan said: "Gemma fought that “I love you” back with everything she had."
A fourth suggested Luca had pressured Gemma into saying it, writing: "Now, do we think Gemma REALLY wanted to say it already, or was mr.fisherman [Luca] kinda pushing it a lil…idk if i’m sold sold."
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
