Love Island drama as Ella and Tyriques link exposed
Love Island: Meet the series 10 islanders
In a Love Island first, both the boys and the girls will be entering the villa together and are paired up by the audience.
Ruchee Gurung and Jess Harding are the first two girls to arrive in the villa and are soon joined by Mitchel Taylor, Ella Thomas, and Andre Furtado.
The Islanders begin to get to know one another as the flirty conversations begin but Maya Jama soon interrupts their flow.
As she struts through the flower walkway, she exclaims: “Hello my lovelies! Do you want to head over to the firepit for a chat?”
After gathering around the fire pit Maya gets to know them before quizzing them on what type of person they are looking for.
The first coupling begins as the five islanders gather around the fire pit, with the remaining five islanders walking into the villa as a result of the public vote.
Before Maya reveals the results it appears Ella and Tyrique already know each other but how are they connected?
Have they dated before or do they have mutual friends?
Once all the Islanders are coupled up, Maya makes her exit from the Villa as she says: “I think it’s fair to say on Love Island you should 100% expect the unexpected!”

Despite the promising start for the islanders, Tyrique Hyde and Catherine Agbaje have been given odds to be the first two to be booted from the island.
According to Betfair, spokesman Sam Rosbottom said: “With the summer series of Love Island starting tonight, Mitchel Taylor and Molly Marsh are the favourites to be the male and female winners.
“Andre Furtado follows behind at 10/3, with George Fensom at 4/1. Looking at who could challenge Molly in the villa, model Ella Thomas is 3/1 to go all the way, while Jess Harding and Ruchee Gurung are both 4/1.”
Speaking ahead of the series and how she forms a connection with the islanders, Maya said: “We don’t speak so much when we’re filming.

“But when they come out and on Aftersun and stuff that’s when I can actually bond with them, and we have little chats and I’m like ‘Are you alright? How’s everything?’.
“I don’t know how it feels to be on a reality show, but I know when you do a big show and you come out everything is different… to be able to take in all the new attention and everything like that and they’re so young and little.”
Will there be explosive drama on the first night of the series? Or will previous relationships surface at a later date?
Love Island airs Sunday-Friday from 9pm on ITV2.
