Love Island fans mortified after working out Kady and Kodie staggering age gap

Love Island fans have been left mortified after they worked out the staggering age gap between Kady McDermott and Casa Amor hunk Kodie Murphy.

On Sunday (July 2) fans got to see the new bunch of sexy singletons enter the ITV villa determined to push relationships to the limits.

The twist comes around every series which sees the boys and girls split into two separate houses and crack on with a group of new Islanders away from the watchful eyes of their partners.

And it didn’t take long before Kodie had convinced the brunette beauty to share a bed with him on the first night.

But many viewers couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable by the pairing after realising the 20-year-old hunk was just 13-years-old when Kady last graced the Love Island villa.

Loyal fans of the ITV2 dating show will remember Kady first appeared on the show in 2016 when she was just 20 years old.

While she was causing chaos in the villa, Kodie would have been in Year 8 studying in high school.

After realising the jaw-dropping age difference, fans flooded to Twitter to share their discomfort online, as one user pointed out: “Kodie was only 13 when Kady was on her series…”

Another agreed: “Kodie was in Year 8 when Kady was last in the villa” as a third echoed: “Why is Kady in bed with that little boy lol.”

A fourth fumed: “The last time Kady graced our ITV2 screens, Kodie was 13 revising for his GCSE Maths exam. THIRTEEN. Girl, no. I’m standing firm on this, no.”

However, others were quick to defend Kady, arguing that it was simply down to the fact that she had “drawn the short straw” after everyone else found a person to share a bed with in time.

It’s fair to say there has been a fair share of drama served on the show despite the fact the Islanders have only been in Casa Amor for two days.

One of the most dramatic moves came from Catherine Agbaje who locked lips with new boy Elom Ahlijah-Wilson whilst being coupled up with Scott van-der-Sluis.

Fans were shocked to see the real estate agent share a smooch with the hunk after getting serious in the main villa with the pro footballer.

But will she bring Elom back to the new villa, or will she put their smooch down to a one-time thing?
