Love Island fans work out ‘real reason’ Leah broke down after Sammy dubbed her a test

Love Island fans are swapping theories on why Leah Taylor was left in tears during the show's recent recoupling – and they don't think it actually had anything to do with Sammy Root being rude.

The ITV2 dating show confronted its contestants with another recoupling ceremony over the weekend, leaving Leah crying over comments Sammy had made about her.

She had been stuck in a love triangle as Sammy, who was partnered with Jess Harding, had decided he had more of a sexual attraction with bombshell Leah and wanted to get to know her better.

But despite sharing kisses and cosy chats with Leah, who he appeared to promise he would leave Jess for, Sammy picked Jess to stay with and labelled Leah "a little test".

Leah, who found herself in a couple with Mitchel Taylor, was later seen in tears as she told Mitchel's ex Molly Marsh that she felt disrespected by the comments.

She said: "I just feel really bad that when the boys are speaking, Sammy's just standing up and being like 'yeah we've had a little test'… I was a bit like 'sorry, but like he's come and pulled me every single chat'. Of course I was flirting back but you was the one giving me the vibes.

"You haven't for a second since then just pulled me and been like 'oh by the way just so you know, I'm fully with Jess'."

However, fans of the show are suspicious that there might actually be another reason for Leah's tears.

One viewer joked: "Leah’s tears are 20% because of Sammy but 80% because she’s realised she has to share a bed with the Ted Bundy of the villa Mitchel."

Someone else tweeted: "Leah don’t lie you’re really crying because you’re coupled with Mitch."

Another viewer agreed: "Leah crying cause she’s stuck with Mitch."

Someone else added: "i thought leah was upset about mitch's speech not sammy's."

Mitchel had previously been in a couple with Molly, but was angry that she had decided she had a deeper connection with Zachariah Noble who she has now recoupled with.

Viewers were surprised by Mitchel claiming he had a connection with Leah before choosing her.

One fan tweeted: "leah really got mugged off by sammy to then end up with mitch… i’d be fuming too."

Someone else agreed: "honestly I feel bad for leah… stalker mitch picking her, sammy calling her a test the girl just cant catch a break."

Another viewer wrote: "gen i feel so bad for leah bcs on top of sammy labelling her as a test, mitch’s speech reducing her to ‘she’s got a nice body’ just felt so demeaning like have you got nothing else to say???"
