Love Island’s Ruchee Gurung says grim hygiene issue gives her the ‘ick’ on dates

Love Island 2023 star Ruchee Gurung has revealed that guys who have dirty nails give her the 'ick' – and she always looks out for it on dates as she's a nail technician.
The 24-year-old beautician from Sutton is set to enter the villa for the tenth series of the ITV2 dating show, which kicks off in Mallorca on Monday (June 5) at 9pm.
But any boys hoping to woo her in the villa should make sure their nails are squeaky clean, because she hates it when guys show up to dates with unkept nails.

Speaking to Daily Star and other press before the show, Ruchee said that she's looking for someone with good fashion sense who can also make her laugh.
She said: "You have to be funny and make me laugh. We have to have the same kind of banter. I find it hard to relate to people that aren't close with their family.
"I feel like fashion is quite big. You can't be turning up in really tight jeans!"
But she's very strict when it comes to nails, because she said: "Hygeine.
"You have to be clean, and because I'm a nail technician as well, every time I go on dates I will look at guy's nails, because if it's not clean it gives me the 'ick'."
But guys also need to have ambition, because anyone with no ambition won't cut it for Ruchee.
"If I go on a date and the guy isn’t wearing something I like, I’m going home."
The stunner also ruled out having sex in the villa and admitted her mum slapped a sex ban on her before the show.

Asked how her family feels about her doing the show, Ruchee said: "I’m okay. I’m not going to do anything that I don’t feel like doing or anything like that.
"Especially for example having sex and things like that.
"My mum literally was like ‘do whatever you want, just go there, have a good experience, but don’t have sex on TV', and I was like ‘Mum I’m not going to, don’t worry about it!."
