MAFS star Marilyse says producers got us all drunk at mixers: They wanted chaos

Marilyse Corrigan says Married At First Sight UK producers "wanted chaos" at the show's infamous dinner parties so "were literally filling our drinks up every five minutes."

The 37 year old starred on the hit E4 show last year and was married to Franky Spencer, 49, but the relationship unfortunately only lasted a few weeks after the series ended.

She exclusively told OK! of the dinner parties: "There were bottles going around the tables, but once they were gone, they were gone.

"We’d be sat there like, ‘Please could we have some more?’. But – oh, my god – at the last dinner party, the producers were literally filling our drinks up every five minutes. They really wanted the drama that night."

She continued: "Even when we were just in our rooms getting ready, they’d be knocking on the doors asking if we wanted drinks.

"We could tell what they were doing. They wanted chaos, so they got us all drunk."

Marilyse's co-stars Daniel McKee and Matt Jameson also recently lifted the lid on what really goes on during the show's dramatic dinner parties.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Daniel said: "No one had to drink alcohol but it was definitely there. They like to divulge.

"But of course there is no pressure when you’re there. Obviously when it's there, and you may be a bit nervous around people, you have a wee drink or one too many."

But Matt interjected: "You are encouraged. They want people to have a good time and be a bit loud and merry."

The couple also revealed how the couples are not able to choose what they eat and that the meals are "tiny".

Dan added: "We didn’t choose what we had. If you’re a vegetarian, you obviously have something veggie, and if you’re gluten-free, you have something different.

"Everyone pretty much had the standard meal. But it’s only for show. It was tiny! We eat something bigger off camera, so we only get something small."

Matt concluded: "It was petite. You’re all waiting to finish filming because then the Domino's arrives and you can properly eat then!"
