MAFS UKs Marilyse shocks as she reveals her ex is on new series of show
Married At First Sight UK's Marilyse Corrigan has revealed an unexpected connection to one of this year's grooms – admitting that she once dated him.
The 38 year old has started a new Instagram live series will fellow MAFS 2021 star Matt Jameson, where they chat with members of last year's cast about the social experiment, which hasn't been without controversy this year.
Fans have so far blasted "fatphobic" comments made Kwame about bride Kasia and viewers also threatened to call Ofcom over Whitney's rude and "disrespectful" behaviour towards her groom Duka.
MAFS expert Paul Brunson featured on the first episode of the new Instagram series, titled Wine O'Clock with Matt and Marilyse, where the latter confessed she previously dated a groom from this year's cast.
After initially keeping the identity of her ex a secret, Marilyse has now revealed which groom it is and dished the dirt on what she's thought of his MAFS UK episodes so far.
Speaking on the second episode of the Instagram Live last Sunday, she admitted she dated Dreamboys dancer Pjay "in October, November last year".
Marilyse didn't go into too much detail about their relationship though, but when she asked if she'd had "sexy time" with him, she coyly responded: "Maybe."
She also admitted she had seen the stripper perform, adding: "Not privately, obviously."
On watching his wedding on the show, Marilyse said: "Do you know what, he came across so well, I was super proud of him.
"He came across like a complete gentleman and he looks fit doesn't he?
"It was nice to watch and to get to know him a little bit better obviously from a different angle."
Marilyse added that she thought her ex's bride Jess had "overreacted massively" about Pjay's job.
She said: "At the end of the day, it shouldn't really matter should it? Like ,you've gone on the experiment, you don't know who you're going to be partnered with, so if you're going to criticise their job at this point, then you shouldn't have even applied for it either.
"But I think things will change between them because you can see that she is a nice girl, so fingers crossed for them, I hope it works out."
