Mary Goskirk takes brave next step in dramatic Emmerdale scenes | The Sun

MARY Goskirk will be forced to make some difficult decisions as she decided to step back into the dating world in Emmerdale.

Viewers have seen Mary open up about her sexuality and her former flame who passed away before she arrived in the village.

Apart from a misguided snog with daughter Rhona's best mate Vanessa Woodfield, her love life in the Dales has been rather lacking but that could all be about to change.

In upcoming scenes, Mary sets out to put herself back out on the market and lines up a date at The Woolpack.

However, things do not got to plan as her date, Joy, does not match her expectations.

Nonetheless, Mary is determined to power through and continue with the date.

It was recently revealed that Mary would be sticking around in Emmerdale for another year after actress Louise Jameson signed a new year-long contract, in a huge coup for ITV.

Speaking about signing her new Emmerdale deal, she said: “I’ve just signed for another year.

"So I’m definitely there until January 2024. In my head I’m thinking maybe a couple of years after that, maybe a three or four year stint.

"But there are people here who have been here 25 years going, ‘Yeah, I said that at the beginning.’ But who knows? They’re such a lovely bunch, who knows?”

Will it be third time lucky for Mary?
