Masked Dancer fans work out Scissors is RuPaul’s Drag Race star after routine

The Masked Dancer fans are convinced they have worked out the real identity of Scissors as the hugely popular ITV show returned to our screens with a fresh batch of celebrities.

On Saturday (September 10), host Joel Dommett welcomed back the star-studded judging panel including newcomer Peter Crouch, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Oti Mabuse, as they attempted to work out the identities of the celebs behind their intricate disguises.

This year’s series has welcomed the largest number of famous faced to throw on the elaborate costumes – with a whopping 13 contestants taking to the stage hoping to baffle and bewilder the judges with their dazzling dance moves.

In the opening show of the series this weekend was Candlestick, Scissors, Astronaut, Odd Socks, Prawn cocktail and Pillar and Post – the first ever dynamic duo – as they wowed fans with their moves when they took to the stage.

And it’s fair to say viewers were blown away by Scissors impressive routines as they sashayed across the dance floor in a fabulous fashion.

After their performance, fans of the ITV talent show were convinced they had worked out the identity of the famous face under the mask – with many pointing to Michelle Visage.

The clues segment was held in a salon and revealed the contestant’s voice had an American accent as teased she is “considered sharp” and “not always been described as the sharpest tool in the shed”.

Fans soon flooded to Twitter as they shared their suspicions on social media with many predicting the 53-year-old to be dressed head to toe in the glamorous ensemble.

One user penned: “Michelle Visage is Scissors!” as another predicted: “Michelle Visage?” while a third echoed: “Michelle Visage as scissors”.

It comes after Joel let slip a big clue about two of the A-list celebrities thought to be taking part in the series which could be key to viewers cracking their identity later on.

Speaking to Daily Star and other publications at the ITV Autumn Entertainment Launch in West London, Joel teased: “Definitely there’s some international stars! I can think of two right now that are so huge. I couldn’t believe they came over.

“I think now the restrictions have eased so there are more people coming over. There were definitely a few. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh’. I was totally star-struck by these people and the fact they were there. It was amazing.

“Even I had interactions with people the whole time. So I held their hand and hugged them or something and then after the reveal, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I was holding your hand and hugging you!’.”
