Last Sunday Strictly fans watched as Bros singer Matt Goss was in the bottom two following the public’s first vote. Going head-to-head with Kaye Adams and her partner Kai Widdrington, the judges decided it was Matt who’d be continuing on in the competition. However, on Tuesday’s episode of the BBC show, It Takes Two, he told host Rylan Clark he wanted Kaye to go through over him.
Strictly Come Dancing fans got to watch the 15 celebrities competing in this year’s series face the public for the first time last weekend.
After the scores from weeks one and two were combined, along with the votes from the viewers, it was Kaye Adams and Matt Goss who found themselves in the bottom two.
Both stars had to impress judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke one last time as they performed their routines once again.
However, it was Matt and Nadiya Bychkova’s Samba to Night Fever that saved them from being the first couple to leave the show.

Despite remaining in the competition, the Strictly star confessed to It Takes Two host Rylan Clark that he wanted the judges to send Kaye through.
Appearing on Tuesday’s instalment of the spin-off show, viewers learnt that the 54-year-old had got close to the Loose Women star and found it difficult to see her go.
He said: “I think just every bone, every gentleman bone in my body and how I was raised, I was just like, ‘Can’t Kaye go through?’
“I’ve never competed like that against somebody that I really care for, so it was difficult for me to actually just even get my head around that whole process.
“You’re competing against someone that you really like and I found that very difficult.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Matt and Nadiya revealed that this week they’ll be doing the Viennese waltz to the song Hold My Hand From the movie Top Gun: Maverick.
Speaking about his upcoming performance, the celebrity shared that his grandfather was a gunner in the war and he’ll be thinking about that during their routine.
He told Rylan: “For me, I’ve just connected to my granddad and the love of his life my grandma Wyn, and before he died he said, ‘I’m going to go and see Wyn.’
“So I’m just going to channel that love affair that connected me between my grandad and my nana.
“It’s already proving because of her choreography that it’s an emotional dance and I feel very connected to it already, I just want to do it for my gramps.”
Currently, Matt and Nadiya are 14th on the leaderboard with a total score of 42 out of a possible 80 from their week one and two scores.
In bottom place underneath him are footballing star Tony Adams and Katya Jones who have a total of 37 from their two first weeks.
On the other end of the scale actress Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu are storming ahead with an impressive score of 65 out of 80.
Not far behind is actor Will Mellor who, despite being top of the leaderboard in week one, is now in second with a total of 60.
According to bookies Ladbrokes, Matt and Nadiya are predicted to be the next stars going home with odds at 7/4, putting him at the top of the list.
