Moment Lana Del Rey is escorted off at Glastonbury after security shut down power | The Sun

LANA Del Rey was escorted off stage at Glastonbury after security shut down the power last night.

The singer, 38, had her microphone unexpectedly cut off at midnight, since she'd started her gig at the festival 30 minutes late.

Lana had been due to arrive on-stage at 10:30pm, but left fans waiting in Somerset's Worthy Farm until 11pm.

In chaotic footage aired on the BBC, she was seen mouthing the words to Summertime Sadness, while her devotees sang from the top of their lungs.

As fans continued to recite her 2013 hit, Lana was taken away by security after blowing them a kiss.

The Grammy winner had blamed her tardiness on her hair stylist, who was even seen on stage adding some finishing touches.

Lana Del Rey booed by Glastonbury crowd after turning up 30 mins late

After arriving on stage, Lana apologised to fans, saying: "I was so f***ing late that I am about to rush this set today. If they cut the power, then they cut power, then I'm super f***ing sorry.

"My hair take so long to do. Let's do the set as it's supposed to go."

Lana's microphone had been turned off since Glastonbury performers are not allowed to play music past 12am on a major stage.

According to fans who were in the crowd, the star removed her in-ear monitors and video screens were switched off.
