Naga Munchetty breaks silence after BBC Breakfast absence as she pays tribute to colleagues | The Sun
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty has finally broken her silence after she hadn't been seen on the programme in a week.
The journalist and broadcaster has become a staple of the flagship BBC show, presenting with Charlie Stayt.
However, Naga had disappeared from the big red sofa over the last week which viewers noticed.
Her absence came just days after she had been branded "rude" by fans following an interview she conducted with a guest.
As panic started to grow, Naga finally shared an update with fans.
Taking to her Twitter account, Munchetty told fans she had been covering the funeral of Her Majesty The Queen for BBC Radio.

"It's been a privilege to be part of the commentary team for @bbc5live @BBCRadio4 today," she said.
"What an honour to work with (among many other brilliant broadcasters) @bbcpaddy @stevejones1000 @PamMelbourne #queensfuneral."
She then posted a snap of her and her BBC colleagues smiling after completing the day of coverage.

However, Naga's post didn't fully explain why she hasn't been presenting BBC Breakfast – or when she'll be back.
She did attend the funeral of her late colleague Bill Turnbull whose funeral took place last week.
The 66-year-old journalist and presenter passed away after a battle with prostate cancer.
The Sun TV previously asked the BBC why Naga has been missing but they declined to comment.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
