Nigella Lawson may be the Queen of cooking, but that doesn’t mean she knows her way around every kitchen utensil.
Last week, the national treasure was exposed by her My Kitchen Rules co-star Manu Feildel when he revealed she doesn’t know how to use chopsticks.
During a dinner, the cooks were about to tuck into some delicious food but the 62-year-old confessed she was going to struggle to take her first bite as she was incapable of using the cutlery.
Manu, 48, found the whole scenario ‘hilarious’ as he recounted the saga on News.com.au’s podcast I’ve Got News For You.
And the How to Be a Domestic Goddess writer has been totally honest about her lack of chopstick prowess, opening up about the real reason why she has difficulty eating with them.
It turns out the TV chef is ‘completely uncoordinated’ and finds chopsticks ‘particularly hard’ because she’s double-jointed.
‘I’m very incompetent,’ she joked on a video shared on Manu’s Instagram.
Nigella clearly enjoyed the candid chat, commenting on the post: ‘Manu, I could sit on that sofa talking with you forever! And thank you all for such lovely comments.’
Aside from cooking, the Simply Nigella presenter has shared her secret ambition to host the Eurovision Song Contest when it comes to the UK next year.
On Twitter, Nigella wrote: ‘Waiting for my Katie Boyle moment! Why else get a languages degree?’
Katie was a TV star and actress who presented the Eurovision Song Contest on four occasions, in 1960, 1963, 1968 and 1974.
Fans quickly backed Nigella on the social media site, pleading with broadcasters to make it happen.
One wrote on Twitter: ‘Oh yes, you would be absolutely perfect.’
