TRIBUTES have poured in as fans discovered S Club 7 icon Paul Cattermole has died just months before the group's reunion tour.
The 46-year-old singer had been set to join his bandmates in a series of long-awaited gigs later this year.
A source told The Sun: “Everyone is in pieces. No one can believe it. There is a real sense of horror and disbelief.”
Bandmate Hannah Spearritt is said to have "broken down" after hearing the devastating news.
Fans rushed to social media to pay tribute to the British pop icon, with one writing: "Playful, joyful, and completely brilliant. This is how we’ll remember Paul Cattermole. Thank you for making our childhoods a brighter place, you S Club Legend. I so wish I could have thanked you in person this October. May you rest in peace, you icon."

Who is Hannah Spearritt?
Born April 1, 1981, Hannah Louise Spearritt is an English actress and singer.
She shot to fame in 1999 with the pop band S Club 7.
The band went on to have four UK No1 singles and one UK No1 album, and were famed for hits like Reach, S Club Party, Don’t Stop Movin’, and Bring It All Back.
Cracking America was next on the list for the band, releasing a S Club television series, which was later renamed “S Club 7 in Miami”.
It went on to have huge success and had an audience of over 90 million viewers, watched in over 100 countries.
